2009 Symposium

Bre Dorsett presents the Lusitano stallion Quartrilho, bred in Brazil and  owned by Robert Hammer, during the stallion presentations.

Lorna Russell demonstrates work with the young horse with a PRE stallion.

Holly Hansen and Amarante demonstrate long-lining the young horse.

The Foundation's second annual classical symposium took place in May 2009 at Kipling Lear Farm near Fort Worth, TX. A highlight of the symposium was the Foundation Pas de Trois, led by Holly Hansen on Robert Hammer's bay Lusitano stallion Urrante Interagro, Lorna Russell on the Foundation's grey Lusitano schoolmaster Loxley, and Sandy Cooper on her bay Nuncio Interagro.

The Pas de Trois performance ended a day of classical lectures and demonstrations including longeing, starting the young horse, work in hand, and more advanced exercises under saddle. Check back soon for DVD's available from our Store.

As always, many thanks to our guest lecturers, participants and photographers.
